JC Joined SocialSpark At Last

Few months ago I tried to join at SocialSpark before I even get an approval of my blog at payperpost. I never get a signup-activation confirmation email at my msn account. Few weeks later I tried to register again but they said that my email was already in their system and they just sent another email signup-activation which I didn't get.

When I realized that I didn't get another email from SocialSpark I used my gmail email address to signup. I finally received an email then I activated my account right away. I created a profile, added my blog and got approved three days later.

Before I join at SocialSpark I didn't have the chance to see some opportunities. After I got the approval I was able to take opportunities. I have too many opportunities to choose from such as sponsored post, blog sponsorship, and spark.

I have taken few opportunities already and I did not get any response yet. It would be nice if we get a response for a certain time after we take the opportunity so we are able to find another opportunity if in case we did not get that opportunity we took.

I have met few friends in the community already when I joined at SocialSpark. I was added to few blogger's friends list. I got few props which surprised me. I have been propping few blogs that interest me after I checked out their profiles and blogs.

If you may, please checkout this profile the mom with brownies. She was the first one that caught my attention and gave me a warm welcome . It was so sweet of her and I am happy to be part of this community.

My Wordpress Blog Got A PR 5

After I wrote a post about PageRank yesterday. I went to check the PR of my current blog then some other blogs I know who have PR. Just checking and then I thought of checking the PR of my old blog at Wordpress and I found out it got a PR 5.

I really don't care about getting a PR before. A friend has been telling me about it, that it's important to get it. I didn't know the importance of it to a blog/website. I just recently found out how useful it is for a blog that takes a sponsored posts.

When I know that my blog at Wordpress can't be monetized I moved it at Blogger. I may have a PR 5 of my old blog but it wasn't useful for me at that time. I am happy about it that it got a PR 5 eventhough I couldn't benefit for it at this time.

I just hope this blog will get one someday and if not. I'm still proud about what my old blog got. It really surprised me when I found out about it and I didn't know when and how I get it. I still wonder why it got PR 5 :) .

I Finally Got Entrecard

After getting suggestions from fellow bloggers. I finally got the Entrecard yesterday. If you haven't read yet on my previous post that I was having difficulty getting traffic on this blog lately. A couple months ago somebody told me about Entrecard but was lazy to check out the website. I was happy with my traffic of my previous blog at Wordpress so I never get to visit Entrecard.com.

I don't exactly know how it works I just click approved when I saw a photo that has 'approve or decline' written on the bottom of it while browsing on my Entrecard account. I did not read about it I had few clicks yesterday after I register and embedded the widget on my blog so I guess having Entercard help my blog gets traffic even if it's like a spam traffic only to drop their Entrecards.

I still have to read about Entrecard. I'm a lazy reader actually. It has been my long time weakness until today. I was never a book reader even though I want to. I get bored and sleepy when I read books specially english. If I have been a book reader I definite would have better grades in English :-) way back school days. I don't know if I can do anything about it now.

MeMyselfAndJC's Header Image

I have been trying to remove the blue rose on the header of this blog. When I put them there it was just a trial. I have been looking for some images to replace the original photo that was already been there when I created this blog. I tried to remove the header itself but still it did not work.

I already read and did all the help they got at blogger.com but it did not work. I thought of writing an email to the technical support but I have been busy putting some widgets and stuff in my blog so I forgot about it for a while.

Maybe I just leave it like that or not. I do not know yet. I received a good comment about it recently and I think I will just let it stay there for good. I do not think it is bad although I thought it kind of look boring. Oh well, I will just leave it alone until I get some help...hmmm.

How To Make Your Visitor Comeback

Do you have anything to share to my other readers about how to get your visitor come back? I really want to know–I will be glad to help those who are newbie like me. I still consider myself new to blogging although I have been doing this for two months, there are so much I could learn from my readers.
I have read a discussion about this topic in BlogCatalog. I did not read it until I got curious and I finally read it last week. That’s how I got this idea to ask my readers/viewers to share their secret if there is one. It is something I would like to share to my readers. I saw some blogs that are not getting enough visitors. I was asked once about it from a fellow blogger.
It takes a lot of hardwork for me to achieve my goal. I have set-up a visit quota which I mentioned in my previous post . I’m not really ambitious of getting tons of visitors but enough for me to keep doing of what I think is the reason (the content I wrote) they came back. It inspires me to digg some more information and write better post everyday. I know we cannot please everybody but I am happy I can share my thoughts to my readers.
Here are list of what I did:
I feature five blogs daily to get new visitors
I joined the discussions that’s how I get visitors to be featured in my blog
I update my blog every day
I visit other blogs and leave comments
I reply every messages I get as soon as I can
I add anybody in my friends/contact list who visited the first time in my blog
I joined their neighborhood/community
I voted for them whenever I get invited to vote
I exchanged links with other bloggers
I join a group when invited
I greeted and asked fellow bloggers what they’re doing
WRITE GOOD CONTENT (as most people would suggest)
I think some of you have a lot to share to others. I did what I did and I admit I could not keep up to visit all the visitors I had in my blog. I really want to visit their blogs and I try to squeeze them in–in my hectic schedule. I will make it up to you whoever you are but I don’t want to make a promise. Next week will be our family vacation to Davao and I have been working hard this week to make some drafts so I can update my blog as much as possible while in Davao.

Ignored My Own Visit

I am very happy of how my blog has been doing so far–I have been monitoring the number of visitors I have everyday so I chose to receive a report every day of the week. It is the first thing that I do in the morning or whenever I first login in either the pc or my laptop. I’ve set a daily ’visit quota’ so whenever it reach the quota I am like contented about it and when it reached above my quota I felt like my heart is jumping for joy.
I have once hidden the counter in my previous blog but I decided to show it to the public later on. I tried to ignore my own visits by blocking my IP address but it did not work. I can still see my own visits everytime I open my blog (logged-in or not). I can see that there were new IP addresses assigned in my browser. I don’t want it that sitemeter will track my own visit so I’ve finally read and followed the instructions to completely ignore my own visits. I’ve changed the setting of the cookie in my browser in my laptop and pc and even my PDA phone (blocked IP only–there was only one IP address on it so it worked good).
My visits in this blog has already been blocked in my sitemeter and geovisite counter since I have embedded them. Would it be nice if your stats counter shows only the number of visits that came from your visitors only and not including your own? So I bragged about it by showing the sitemeter stats and geovisite 24 hours geocounter with a beautiful red tulip flower in it. Some counters don’t have the option of setting the visits like the first one that I have embedded in my previous blog from widgetbox.
If I did not block my own visits I probably would have 2,000+ visits in my sitemeter counter by now. Everytime I did anything in my blog–I opened three windows aside from the preview while making a post. I think my number of visits daily (that should be posted in my counter) reaches 30 plus hits including the reloads that’s equivalent to the average of visitors I have every day.
Here are the instructions on how to block your own visits choose the browser that is compatible to your pc/mac/laptop:
